It's a day where every child shines, regardless of their athletic ability. This joy of participation and the thrill of efforts fosters a lifelong love for physical activity, promotes healthy competition and teaches valuable life skills like resilience, discipline and sportsmanship. St. Aloysius Kindergarten School, Cantt hosts its 17th Annual Athletic Meet with great funfare under the visionary leadership of Principal Rev. Fr. Davies V and KG. Headmistress Sr. Rosmin. A spectacular display of athletic prowess and teamwork brought together students, teachers and parents in a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie and school spirit. The program commenced with the inauguration ceremony where Col (Dr.) K Uday Bhanu Chief Guest, a renowned Neuroradiologist in Military Hospital declared the meet open. Rev. Fr. Davis George, Guest of Honour, Vicar General of JDES and Manager of St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School Cantt blessed the participants and encouraged them to strive for excellence. As a token of appreciation, Rev. Fr. Davies V, Principal presented a symbolic sapling and a memento to our chief guest Col (Dr. ) K Uday Bhanu, commemorating his presence and support at the 17th Annual Athletic Meet. Peace, harmony and humanity took flight as the Chief Guest, Guest of honour and Principal released pigeons and balloons, setting the tone for the day of unity and sportsmanship. The miniature champions of St. Aloysius kindergarten took the athlete’s oath, pledging to play with integrity and respect. The tiny tots with their vibrant costumes, synchronized movements, and infectious energy set the tone with a wonderful inaugural dance for an electrifying day of sports and entertainment. The Athletic Meet saw exceptional displays of speed, strength and agility as students competed in various races like UFO race, tribal race , wake up the sleeping beauty race, balancing the ball race , cotton candy race , Jelly fish race, etc. As the races commenced, the atmosphere erupted with cheers, applause and enthusiasm. The crowd held its collective breath as the young Aloysians showcased their flexibility, strength and agility in a breathtaking Gymnastics display. Under the expert guidance of Sir Sunil Singh, the gymnastics segment of the 17th Annual Atheltic Meet featured an array of thrilling events, including: Ring Drive, Summersault, Cartwheel etc. The 17th Athletic meet reached its ceremonial peak when the Chief Guest, Col (Dr) K Uday Bhanu, took the salute of the impressive march past of the young Aloysians. The Chief Guests inspiring message echoed through the Athletic Meet. He encouraged our young Aloysians to strive for excellence, embody values, and become the leaders of tomorrow. Mrs. Shanthi Rani Pinto, Sports Secretary, and Mrs. Krutika Shah , Sports Coordinator played pivotal roles in the success of the 17th Annual Athletic Meet.
Extempore Competition

“Public Speaking is the art of diluting a two-minute idea with a two-hour vocabulary.” Extempore is the art of public speaking that is carried out without preparation. It puts to test one’s ability to think and speak spontaneously. To imbibe a true spirit of learning in Aloysians and to enhance the effective communication skills in them, the annual extempore competition was organised on Saturday, 31st August 2024 for classes I to XII in the school auditorium. The programme was presided by the honourable Principal Fr. V. V. Davies and K.G Headmistress Sr. Mini A. The participants spoke with confidence for two minutes on different topics given to them on the spot, they were judged on the basis of their confidence, fluency, content, pronunciation and communication skills. The esteemed panel of judges included Head of Department for English, Mrs. Rhonda Jones and Senior School Co-ordinator Mrs. Leena J. Jacob for the High School, Dr. Mrs. Siji John and Mr. Sharad Singh for the Middle School and Mrs. Nidhi Rao with Mrs. Trisha Jaiswal for the Primary Section. The Principal Rev. Fr. V. V. Davies addressed the gathering. He explained the importance of communication skills, and encouraged the students to improve their English Speaking by enriching their vocabulary. He advised the students to fill their minds with innovative ideas, and to help one another. He also asked the students to remove their stage fear and practice public speaking. He congratulated the winners and awarded them with certificates. Elocution Competition 2024

“Elocution is the art of giving life to words, letting them dance with clarity and grace.” Elocution is the manner of expressing words and ideas in the most expressive way. It is an art of learning how to speak correctly and emphasizes correct accent, grammar, pronunciation, tone and stress. An elocution competition at the school level gives students a good opportunity to combat the biggest fear factor, the stage fear. It also allows the competitors to connect with the audience and to understand the concepts of Articulation and Voice Modulation. Under the able guidance of the Principal Rev.Fr. V.V. Davies, the Elocution competition was conducted as a Group Recitation Competition in the school Auditorium, where the students recited poems together beautifully, showcasing their collective skill in delivering the verses with clarity and expression. This format likely emphasized teamwork and the harmonious blending of voices to enhance the impact of poetry. The primary students participated in the competition. The competition was divided into five groups. The first group comprises of Classes 1 A,B,C and D The second group comprises of Classes 2 A, B, C and D The third group comprises of Classes 3 A,B,C and D The fourth group comprises of Classes 4 A,B,C and D The fifth group comprises of Classes 5 A,B,C and D The competition for the first and second group was organized on 23rd August, 2024. Mrs. Raveen Kaur Chadda and Mrs. Priti Sarkar were the esteemed judges for the competition. In the first group, the 1st position was bagged by Class 1A and the 2nd position was bagged by Class 1B. The competition for the third, fourth and fifth group was organized on 24th August, 2024. Mrs. Purnima Francis and Mrs. Naseem Begum were the esteemed judges for the competition. In the third group, the 1st position was bagged by Class 3D and the 2nd position was bagged by Class 3C In the fourth group, the 1st position was bagged by Class 4A and the second position was a tie between Classes 4B and 4D In the fifth group, the 1st position was a tie between Classes 5A and 5D The gathering was addressed by the Principal of the school and he motivated the students with his inspirational words. The auditorium of St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School echoed with the blessings on 03 rd February 2024 when the Aloysian family came together to bid farewell to the outgoing students of 2023-24 batch of class XII. It was the day of mixed emotions for all present at the school auditorium to witness the official send-off for the class XII students at the Farewell ceremony. The day was devoted to the years and moments spent together with friends and teachers. The outgoing students entered the school premises elegantly dressed. They glittered in their colourful attires, the young ladies looked beautiful wearing sarees whereas the gentlemen carried themselves smartly in suits and looked resplendent. The Management, Staff and the Students organized the event. The event began with lighting of the lamp by Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Academic coordinator Mrs. Leena J. Jacob, Class-teacher (XII-Sc.) Sir Rajesh Vishwakarma, Head-Girl Shubh Gaurav and the School Captain Siddhant Otwani. The outgoing students took the pledge of being true Aloysians administered by Sir Sharad Singh. The event was followed by various captivating performances by the 11 th class students which also included the theme skit and dance celebrating colours of School life. The most awaited event of the day was the declaration of titles for Mr. & Ms. Aloysius 2023-24, and the nominees for the titles confidently answered the questions asked. Priyanshu Biswas was awarded with the title of Mr. Aloysius and Shubh Gaurav was crowned Ms. Aloysius by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph. The School Vice-Captain Kartikey M. Anand presented the vote of thanks thanking the Aloysian family for making the day a celebration worth to remember. It was followed by the felicitation of students by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph blessed the students with his inspiring words of wisdom and guided them to be good citizens of India and wished them a bright future. He asked the student to embrace change with open arms stepping into a world that awaits their contribution. In his address, he reminded the student to cherish relationships and companionships, to grow together and be happy. He also asked the students to pursue and follow their passion. At the last, he urged the students to have the attitude of gratitude and be thankful towards life. He also presented mementos to the outgoing students and assured them that they will always remain in the hearts of every member of the Aloysian family and wished them successful life. The students took back with them wonderful memories of the day.
148th Annual Athletic Meet

Jabalpur conducted its 148th Annual Athletic Meet on 12th December 2023 with great enthusiasm. The Chief Guest for this meet was Brig. Bimalendu Mohapatra, Controller CQA(W) Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur who graced the occasion. The guest of honour was Mr. Ashish Dubey-Additional Director, Ministry of Home Affairs (Ex-Aloysian 1988-Batch). Rev. Fr. Abraham T., Vicar General and Vice-President, JDES presided over the function. Our energetic buglers welcomed the dignitaries and guests. The balloons representing harmony were released by the Chief-Guest, Fr. Abraham T. and Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph. The School Sports Flag was hoisted followed by the Hymn to St. Aloysius. The torch lit on Rector’s Day by the Principal was handed over to the Ex-Athletes of the School, then finally handed over to the School Captain, Siddhant Otwani. A beautiful inaugural dance was performed by the students. The students participated in various track and field events maintaining a high level of physical fitness. The band display and skipping rope demo was yet another attraction for the spectators. P.T Display presented by the Primary and Middle school students enthralled the gathering. They also demonstrated a formation to show the completion of fruitful years of St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School Cantt. The Inter-House March past was yet another highly competitive event where the squads of three houses, Red, Yellow and Green displayed their team work and discipline. They marched smartly led by the School Captain, School Vice-Captain, House Captains, House Vice-Captains, Girls’ squad, Scout and Guide and Red Cross fluttering their House flags with the beats of Aloysian Band. The daring performance of young gymnasts left the audience spell bound with their various stunts jumping through the fire rings, long horse, and somersaults. Their co-ordination, reflexes and alertness were applauded by everyone. The Chief-Guest addressed the gathering and gave away the Challenge Trophies to the winners. Green House was declared as the winner of the sports day, followed by Red and the Yellow house respectively. The Guest-of-honour gave a motivating message, appreciating the efforts of the students and the staff in his address. The principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph thanked the Chief-Guest, present dignitaries, all officials, students, parents and teachers. Fr. Abraham T., in his address focused on the importance of fitness in the lifestyles of the students. Under the leadership and the able guidance of Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sports Secretary- Cherian Varghese, Field Marshal- Fedric David, Surveyor- Sunil Kumar Singh and the coordinated efforts of the teachers and students made the day a grand success.
Rector's Day Celebration

"“Being a good leader is like weaving a beautiful story, using threads of vision understanding and strength”. A true leader is not just someone incharge but someone who inspires and shapes a legacy through his influence. St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School cantt. Jabalpur celebrated Rector's day ceremony on 2nd December 2023 to mark the beginning of sports week in school. The celebration started with the special assembly by the office bearers who presented a bouquet and a card on behalf of the students. Special messages, poem and a video presentation portraying the beautiful memories of the principal were the main highlights of the assembly. Students from all the classes presented father a bouquet or a sapling to show the love and gratitude to him. After the special assembly Catholic students along with the teachers and office bearers went to the church for blessings of the flags and a prayer service was conducted in the church. Creamy donuts and delicious cake were distributed to junior classes whereas the senior classes enjoyed chocolate ice cream as a token of love from our Rector. A sumptuous lunch was arranged for the staff of the school. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by one and all. Our Rector Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph’s leadership guidance and support have helped us all grow both personally and professionally. He is blessed to be an amazing Role Model "

Sports activities are the best way through which one can develop one’s social and communicative skills. It is very important for kids and youth in their growing stage. It increases the feeling of team spirit and improves efficiency in them. St. Aloysius Kindergarten Cantt., organized its 16 th Annual Athletic Meet on Friday, October 06th 2023 under the able guidance of Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph and KG Headmistress, Sr. Anupama. The meet began with welcoming of the Chief-Guest Lt. Col. Joshua John and most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The principal Fr. Sibi Joseph presented a sapling and a memento to the Chief-Guest as a token of love and gratitude. The balloons and the pigeons were released as a sign of unity and peace by the Chief-Guest, Principal and the Guest of Honour. The Tiny-tots entered into the spirit of the occasion with the oath by the Athletes. The little Aloysians presented a welcome dance which left the audience spell bound. The day witnessed a zestful performance by the little athletes who competed in various races like Flat Race, Relay Race, Chandrayan race, turtle race, Strawberry race, Hoola hoop race, Shapes are fun race, Everyday numbers race etc. Once the races began, the air was filled with tons of encouragement for the Tiny- tots. Gymnastics was the major highlight of the show. Karate was also displayed by the students which was encouraged by the audience with applauds. The Chief-Guest took the salute of the impressive March Past of the little Aloysians. The Chief-Guest, Lt. Col. Joshua John addressed the gathering with his thoughtful words, and emphasized the importance of sports in a child’s life and praised the Staff members for their management and expertise. The Guest of Honour in his message lauded the energy, zest and vitality of students. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the students and the Staff members. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks given by the KG Headmistress Sr. Anupama followed by the National Anthem.
INTERSCHOOL SPELL- BEE

"Walking on the footprint of our founders to assure excellence in education." With this theme St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School Rimjha had organised an Inter School Spell Bee Competition on 21August 2023 in the lieu of Sesquicentennial Celebration of St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School Cantt. Spelling is the art of correctly assembling letters to form meaningful words. It is one of the essential components of successful writing. Being confident at spelling leads to confidence in all aspects of literacy. The competition was organised for the students from classes 4 to 8. Total 6 schools participated in it including St. Aloysius Cantt., Polipathar, Gaur, Panagar and St. Thomas. The format of the competition was inclusive of three rounds. The Preliminary round was a written round where a set of 5 words were given and 5 teams were qualified for the next Intermediate around. In the end 4 teams moved forward for the final round which was a Rapid Fire round. The results of the competition was as follows:- Group 1 (IV- VI) 1. P. Lakshita Naidu (Polipathar) 2. School Cantt, Conducted the Annual Extempore Competition for Classes I to XII on 19 th August 2023 it was a resounding success, showcasing the impressive speaking skills and quick thinking abilities of the participants and it received enthusiastic participation from the contestants. The competition witnessed a diverse range of participants from various backgrounds, ensuring a vibrant mix of perspectives and topics. A panel of experienced judges, comprising :- High & Senior 1. The participants exhibited remarkable eloquence, creativity, and confidence while addressing their topics. They captivated the audience with their ability to think on their feet and deliver coherent speeches. The energy in the auditorium was palpable as the participants displayed exceptional poise and articulation. After meticulous evaluation, the winners were announced. This event is a testament to the power of effective communication and spontaneous thinking in a dynamic and competitive environment. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

"May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please but as the opportunity to do what is right." On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Cantt. commemorated the spirit of freedom and patriotism with a grand celebration. The event was marked by a series of captivating performances and inspiring speeches that showcased the Aloysians' love and respect for the nation. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. The cultural extravaganza began with an array of performances that showcased the students' artistic talents. A mesmerizing dance performance, exuding the essence of unity in diversity, left the audience spellbound. Following this, a thought-provoking skit presented by the students portrayed significant events from India's struggle for independence, highlighting the valour and determination of our freedom fighters. The speeches delivered during the event were both eloquent and stirring. A passionate speech delivered by Priyanshu Biswas of class 12 science encapsulated the spirit of patriotism and the importance of upholding the values that our nation stands for. The patriotic songs resonated through the air, filling everyone's hearts with pride and nostalgia. Ma'am Veena Rai shared her insights and thoughts on the significance of Independence Day. Her words of wisdom encouraged the students to be responsible citizens and to contribute positively to the growth of our nation. The Principal, Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph in his address to the gathering emphasized the need for unity, progress, and the continued pursuit of excellence. The programme culminated with the Vote of Thanks by the School Captain, Siddhant Otwani. The celebration also included a noble initiative of tree plantation carried out by the scout and guide children along with the Junior Red Cross (JRC) students. St. Aloysius Sr Sec School, Cantt. Jabalpur celebrates its sesquicentennial jubilee this year. It's a great moment of Pride and Honour for Aloysians to celebrate 150 years of school's recognition as to impart Moral and Holistic education to each and every student who walked within the corridors of this epitome leaving their footprints in the sands of time. The inaugural function was held on 10 July 2023, Monday on the occasion of the founder's day celebration. A special Holy Mass was offered to invoke God's blessings on this great institution. The Chief Guest Rt. Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, President JDES and the dignitaries were welcomed by the Principal and the staff with pinning of the badges and bouquets as a token of love and appreciation. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Abbott Marcus Champia, Fr. Thomas Kuneel, Rev. Fr. Davis George, Rev Fr. Thankachan Jose and the Principal Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph. To mark this special occasion 150 earthen lamps were lit. The programme began with the prayer dance. The Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida was felicitated with a card, memento and a badge. A glimpse of the glorious past of 150 years was unravelled through a captivating PowerPoint presentation. The theme of the year 2023-24 "Walking on the footprints of our founders to assure excellence in education" was unveiled by the honourable chief guest. On the occasion of this milestone anniversary celebration a beautiful theme dance was performed showcasing the journey of growth and success. The Bishop in his address to the gathering said it's an opportunity to reflect on the past achievements of the school as well as introspect on the preparations to meet the challenges that lie ahead. A melodious theme song was sung which expressed the gratitude as a testament to endure the legacy of the school. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph proposed the vote of thanks and concluded by saying that when we honour the past, we energize the future and the present becomes a celebration. The programme was a huge success under the visionary guidance of the Principal Rev Fr Sibi Joseph, team work of the staff and the students.

Father Sibi Joseph, KG Headmistress Sr. Anupama, St. Aloysius kindergarten, Cantt.Jabalpur, organised the Elocution Competition (2023-24) for the students of classes LKG and UKG, wherein students were trained to face the audience with confidence and speak their minds out. Rainy Day Celebration of Kindergarten

Rainy day is always the fun time for children . Rainy season is one of the favorite seasons for kids. To mark the occasion rainy day was celebrated on 14 th july 2023 for kindergarten children. Kindergarten students came to school wearing blue dress with colourful umbrellas and raincoats to splash and revel in the rain . They also made placard with slogan ‘ Save water Save Earth ‘ for giving the message to save water for saving our planet earth . Special assembly was conducted in the morning in which Rainy Day song with actions was sung by kindergarten teachers and children . Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph and kindergarten headmistress Sister Anupama shared their valuable thoughts with children . The students along with their teachers went out with umbrellas and raincoats to enjoy the playful rainy weather . Teachers decorated the assembly area depicting the theme with umbrellas , charts and cut outs exposing children to the beautiful natural phenomenon. The incharges for the rainy day celebration were Mrs. Jaya Ghosh and Mrs. Krutika Shah. Rainy day celebration was full of fun . The students had a festivity time with their friends and teachers.

Talent wins games, but Teamwork and intelligence wins championship. Sports give you a chance to excel and if you are playing in good company you do not even mind if you lose because you had the enjoyment of the company during the course of the sports. Keeping these thoughts in mind St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School Cantt., Jabalpur organised the 147th Annual Athletic Meet after a gap of two years on the 9th of December 2022 with great zeal and vigour. The Chief Guest Lt Gen Yogendra Dimri, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding- in-chief, Central Command (Ex-Aloysian) graced the occasion. Rt. Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Bishop of Catholic Diocese Jabalpur presided over the function. The dignitaries were welcomed by our energetic buglers. Our principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph presented the bouquets and memento to the chief guest and Bishop. Colorful balloons and pigeons representing freedom and harmony were released by our chief guest. The Athletic Meet began with the hoisting of the sports flag followed by the Hymn to St. Aloysius .The torch lit on rectors Day by our principal was handed over to the Athletes Achyut Dubey, Yash Dubey, Krish Parmar, Mohd. Rehaan Qureshi, Bilaal Hasan, Sahil Pandey the school captain (2021-22) to the present school captain Nischal Vatsa which reflected the true sportsmanship and the trend followed by the Aloysians year after year. The symphony produced through trumpets, flutes bugles and drumbeats attracted the parents and the guests. The theme of the Annual Athletic Meet was 'Discover Wellness' which was presented through the inaugural dance performance with the arrival of the Mascot ‘Leo the Leopard’ enthralled the crowd. The mascot inspired the students with the message embrace your health and health empowers you. P.T. display by the students of class 4th and 5th with the theme celebrating 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav where the formation of 75 with the tricolor waves was an attraction for the audience. The tiny toddlers of classes 2nd and 3rd with the theme 'learn and grow until you glow' demonstrated a P.T. show with great synchronization left the gathering spell bound. Our winners of National Level skipping Rope were not left behind to display heart rendering performances. Various races such as fitness freaks race ,Treasure hunt race, Merry Christmas race, Ice Cream race, Aim for the sky race etc. including a number of relays brought out enthusiasm of the students, our Gymnasts- 'The Show Stopper' put up an awesome show of flexibility, hard work and stamina performing various stunts, jumping through fire rings attracted one and all. The students of middle school classes 6th to 8th presented a P.T. show representing the theme 'Embrace Your Health' with the presentation of different asana of yoga, Zumba conveying the message to be healthy and fit was appreciated and praised by thunderous applause from the audience. The senior students put up spectacular display of discipline and teamwork through the March Past. The squads were led by the captains and Vice captains carrying their respective house flags Red, Yellow, and Green followed by girls squad, Red Cross, Scouts and Guides. The chief guest addressed the gathering and gave away the challenge trophies to the winners. Rt. Rev. Bishop addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the students and staff in his motivating message .Rev.Fr. Sibi Joseph thanked the Chief Guest, Bishop Dignitaries and all officials, students, parents and teachers. Under the visionary leadership and able guidance of our principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, sports secretary Mrs. Deepti Satsangi, Field Marshal Mr. Fedric David, Field surveyor Mr. Sunil Singh PTIs and the coordinated efforts and teamwork of teachers and students the meet was a grand success.
Rector's Day Celebration

St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Cantt. Jabalpur celebrated the Rector's day on 25th November 2022. "Leadership is the ability to guide others without force into a direction or decision that leaves them still feeling empowered and accomplished. "Our Rector, Fr. Sibi Joseph has always inspired and empowered the students and staff with his amiable personality and devotion to work. The objective of celebration of Rector's day is to honour the leader of the school who is carrying forward the legacy of St. Aloysius School to greater heights.The celebration started in the morning with the special assembly dedicated to our Rector. The students presented saplings, bouquets and cards to the Rector as a token of their love and respect. The sports logo was unveiled on this occasion. The most awaited moment was the arrival of the sports mascot "Leo" the leopard. The students were overjoyed and filled with the Sports spirit to find the mascot Leo amidst them. The sports torch was lit by the Principal and handed over to the athletes. A grand cultural programme was organised to mark the gaiety of the occasion. A special prayer service was organised in the church wherein the School, Houses, Sports flag, the Gymnastic flag, band instruments and P. T. props were blessed invoking God's blessings and protection during the Sports week and Sports Day. The Principal in his address to the students and staff urged to strive hard to uphold the dignity of the school and keep its flag ever flying high by promoting a society based on love, liberty, justice, equality and fraternity. The day ended with the sumptuous lunch for the staff and refreshments for the students.

“Winners never quit and quitters never win." Life is incomplete without sports. It's time to refresh our time so play as much as you can. Sports activities are the best way through which one can develop one’s social and communicative skills. It is very important for kids and youth in their growing stage. It increases the feeling of team spirit and improves efficiency in them. St. Aloysius Kindergarten Cantt., organized its 15th Annual Athletic Meet on Saturday, October 01st under the able guidance of Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph and KG Headmistress, Sr. Anupama. Lt. Col. Ishwar Dutt Sharma, GRC, graced the occasion as the Chief-Guest and Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida was the Guest of Honour. The principal Fr. Sibi Joseph presented a sapling and a memento to the Chief-Guest as a token of love and gratitude. The Chief-Guest, Principal and the Guest of Honour released the balloons and the pigeons as a sign of unity and peace. The Tiny-tots entered into the spirit of the occasion with the oath by the Athletes. The little Aloysians presented a welcome dance which left the audience spell bound. The day witnessed a zestful performance by the little athletes who competed in various races like Flat Race, Relay Race, Snowball Race, Candy race, Caterpillar race, Jelly Fish Race, Butterfly Race, Balancing Race, etc. Once the races began, the air was filled with tons of encouragement for the Tiny-tots. Gymnastics was the major highlight of the show. Aerobics was also displayed by the students. The Chief-Guest took the salute of the impressive March Past of the young Aloysians. The Chief-Guest, Lt. Col. Ishwar Dutt Sharma in his message encouraged the gathering with his thoughtful words, and emphasized the importance of sports in a child’s life and praised the Staff members for their management and expertise. The Guest of Honour in his message lauded the energy, zest and vitality of students. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the students and the Staff members. The programme culminated with the vote of thanks given by the KG Headmistress Sr. Anupama followed by the National Anthem. The Sports Secretary for the event was Mrs. Sweety Lawrence and the Sports coordinator was Ms. Nidhi Jatav. The Sports meet was a success with the cooperation of the Staff and the Field Surveyors, Mr. Sunil Singh Baghel, Mr. Nishant Dubey and Ms. Rikansha Mehra.
Blood Donation Camp

‘If you are a blood donor, you are a hero to someone, who received the gracious gift of life.’ ‘Donate Blood, Donate life.’ Keeping in mind humanity and service to mankind, a blood donation camp was organised at St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Cantt Jabalpur on 27 th August 2022. The camp was inaugurated by Bishop Gerald Almeida and Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph in the presence of Dr. Pushraj Patel, doctors and paramedical staff from Govt. Hospital, Gaur. The doctor who contributed for this noble cause was Dr. Sanjay Mishra, CMO, Jabalpur. Apart from blood donation, general health check-up, Tetanus-Diphtheria, and corona precaution booster dose were also administered during this camp. Teachers, parents and well-wishers donated blood fulfilling their responsibility towards the society. 35 units of blood were collected and were handed over by Fr. Sibi Joseph along with the National Service Scheme volunteers to P. Harison. Incharge, Blood Bank, Elgin Hospital. We accord our sincere thanks to Mr. Ramesh Naidu, Sunil Garg for their valuable contribution for the success of the camp. It provides a child an opportunity of self – expression. It binds the heart and is one of the most beloved human adventures. Under the able guidance of Principal Fr. Sibi Joseph, an Intra School Annual Patriotic Song Competition was organized on 06th August, 2022. It was an effort made by the School to keep the spirit of solidarity and love for the country alive, while enhancing the artistry and presentation skills of the students. The participants sang beautiful compositions with great enthusiasm and allured the audience. The primary, middle, high and the senior school participated in the competition. The competition was arranged in two sessions, the first one included the performances of the High School and Senior School’s students respectively followed by the performances of the Middle School students in the second session. Mr. Amitabh Rao, Mr. Sanjay Xavier and Mr. Shaji Varghese were the esteemed judges for the competition. There was a special performance by one of the Judges- Mr. Amitabh Rao. "ALOYSIAN RADIO @ INNER VOICE" STAY STRONG! STAND UP! HAVE A VOICE! Everone deserves to have their voice heard. St. Aloysius Sr. Sec . School relaunched the "ALOYSIAN RADIO @ INNER VOICE" for the students to showcase theur inner talents. It will be a platform to build strong communication skills and confidence. Students will get oppertunity to speak on their own chosen topics and to reach out to many hearts. “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. Jabalpur conducted the Extempore competition for the students of classes 1 to 5 on 15th and classes 6 to 12 on 16th July 2022 to imbibe the spirit of learning in young Aloysians and to enhance their communication skills.The competition started with the welcoming of judges.Our honourable judges for the competition were :Classes I to V- Mrs Jessy Philip, Mrs Priya kapadia and Mrs Puja Chadha, Classes VI to XII - Sr. Anupama, Mrs. Mubarak Fatima, Mrs. Philo Anto, Mrs. Deepti Satsangi, Mr. Syed Noman.
Extempore is the art of public speaking that is carried out without preparation or forethought. It puts to test one's ability to think on the spot and also their spontaneity. The young Aloysians spoke for two minutes on different topics given to them on the spot. The topics for the competition were associated with varied subjects such as environment, current affairs, online classes, technology, Social Media etc. The participants were judged on the basis of content, confidence, clarity of speech, fluency,etc. The honourable Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph addressed the students and conveyed the importance of English speaking and developing communication skills. The International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2022 to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that originated in India and is helping people in leading a healthier lifestyle worldwide.
A yoga display containing various asanas such as Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasan, Pranayama etc. was performed by the primary students on the occasion of International Yoga Day showcasing the value of yoga as it strengthens the immune system and cleans blood, body parts, body systems internally. It brings a divine glow on the face and makes us wise. To begin with the program, our sports teacher Sir Sunil performed Surya Namaskar which strengthens different muscles of our body and also helps in curing diseases. Our school Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph also participated in the programme enthusiastically and performed Padmasana, Bhramari Pranayama, Anulom Vilom etc. and gave message that yoga not only has a capacity to change perception but also has power to transform us.

Morning Assembly undoubtedly holds the numero uno position out of all the routine activities in a school. It aids community participation as well as hones the skills of children on account of healthy competitive spirit between different groups. It is the place where a child gets its imaginative eyes to seek the world. Probably it’s the first platform which is provided to young mind, boosting their confidence towards public speaking and imbibing a feeling of team spirit in their nascent minds. Keeping us with the same the students of St. Aloysius Sr. Sec School, cantt conducted first Virtual Assembly for the session 2021. The theme of the year was announced in the assembly by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph – ‘’ Joy In Learning and Joy In Serving’’ Joy is the celebration of life.
We celebrate these miracles of life in all its different shades whether its during happy times or in hardships. In the existing scenario of despair and uncertainty during pandemic, Aloysians brought HOPE through their Virtual assembly. This four-letter word lights up our inner positivity and optimism. Video Presentation started with a strong message that will definitely make people think twice that if we bring change in our day to day ‘s activities then definitely we are going to get out of this worst situation. Assembly moved on to a time of prayerful mindfulness, inviting the Lord to guide and help everyone to stay hopeful at all times.
Principal in his message welcomed students on the first day of online classes and motivated and encouraged by saying they are the HOPE and the future of tomorrow. He also thanked all the parents for their support and appreciation given by them for the school and for the teachers for their hard work. Students too gave a positive message on COVID. This assembly was undoubtedly a result of the immense efforts put together by students and the teachers.

हिंदी हस्तलेखन धैर्य और इच्छाशक्ति की कुंजी है क्योंकि यह सबसे जटिल और मांग वाली प्रक्रियाओं में से एक है। लेखनआँखों के माध्यम से , मन के माध्यम से संचार की कला है। यह दुनिया का एक महान आविष्कार है जो समय और स्थान की सभी दूरी पर अनुपस्थित लोगों के साथ बातचीत करने में सक्षम है। लेखन हमारे व्यक्तित्व का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है, हम जो लिखते हैं वह हमेशा एक झलक देता है कि हम क्या सोचते हैं और क्या महसूस करते हैं और यही हमारे व्यक्तित्व और हमारे आंतरिक अस्तित्व को दर्शाता है। लिखने की सुंदरता एक कौशल है। सुंदर लेखन अर्थात सुलेख अपनी एक अलग पहचान स्थापित करता है और सुलेख प्रतियोगिता तो विद्यार्थियों को सुंदर एवं पठन योग्य लेखन- कार्य के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती है। हिंदी लेखन प्रतियोगिता का प्रमुख उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को अपनी लिखावट को सुधारने के तरीकों को अपनाने का अवसर प्रदान करना है।

प्रतियोगिता में विभिन्न रुचिकर विषयों को सम्मिलित किया गया। कक्षानुसार प्रतिभागियों को , गद्य , पद्य , अनुच्छेद , निबंध , कहानी पर सुलेख लिखने दिया गया। हिंदी सुलेख प्रतियोगिता का मूल्यांकन अक्षरों का निर्माण, अक्षरों एवं मात्राओं के बीच का अंतर, शब्द और रेखाओं के बीच का स्थान, दिए गए समय में कार्य पूर्णता , वर्तनी , उचित विराम चिह्न और नीटनेस के आधार पर किया गया। निर्णायक ( जज) की भूमिका का निर्वाहन किया -

सुलेख प्रतियोगिता हेतु विद्यार्थियों की उपस्थिति एवं प्रतिक्रिया उत्साह जनक थी।सुलेख प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों को न केवल सुंदर लिखावट के लिए प्रेरित किया गया अपितु राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी के महत्व पर प्रकाश डालते हुए उन्हें अपने देश एवं भाषा के सम्मान के प्रति सदैव समर्पित रहने की प्रेरणा दी गई। अधिकांश छात्रों ने अपने लेखन- कौशल को बढ़ाने के लिए अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन किया । इस गतिविधि का उद्देश्य छात्रों को अपने आत्मविश्वास का निर्माण करने का अवसर देना था। निर्णायक मंडल ने सभी प्रतिभागियों की सराहना की और विजेताओं को बधाई दी।
अंत में प्रत्येक कक्षा एवं वर्ग के विजेता प्रतिभागियों को शाला द्वारा ई - सर्टिफिकेट प्रदान किया गया तथा अन्य सभी प्रतिभागियों के प्रयासों की सराहना की गई।

To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school Office Bearership team was formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection. The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2021-2022 was held on the 24th of July, 2021. The chief guest for the event was our Principal Fr. Sibi Joseph.
The ceremony began with the welcoming of the Chief Guest and Parents, lighting of the lamp by Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sr. Sindhu C.C, Mr. Anand Mohan Namdeo and School Captains which was followed by the Hymn to our Patron St. Aloysius and reading from the Holy Scriptures and its translation. The Principal Fr. Sibi Joseph inspired and encouraged the elected leaders to be dutiful and responsible in his address to the gathering. The Choir Song by the staff was melodious and inspiring song which perfectly suited the event. The march by all the Officer Bearers was a spectacular event which set the mood for the event. In his address, the Chief Guest Fr. Sibi Joseph appreciated the students to take part in leadership activities to nurture themselves into the future leaders. He also congratulated the school Officer Bearers for their preparedness to take responsibilities. He asked them to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both. His words of advice were highly motivating to the students.
The vote of thanks and pledge was adminsitered by the School Captain and the School Vice-Captain respectively. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School celebrated its founder’s day on virtual platform on 10th July 2021. The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sr. Dhanya and Coordinators. Thereafter programme continued with the intercessory prayer by the students of Primary classes. Presentation of a beautiful Kathak dance left everyone spellbound. The students proudly remembered and praised the glorious past of our school by singing a beautiful Founder’s day song and expressed their gratitude towards the school.
All our founder Fathers, Bishops and Principals were remembered for their devotion, dedication, commitment and selfless service towards the institution. Rev. Father Sibi Joseph in his address laid emphasis to follow and imbibe the values of Father Amedee Delalex, our founder father in their lives. Overall the programme was a big success.

Grandparents are very special. They are the foundation of the family. They give unconditional love to their grandchildren.Through special love and care they keep a family close at heart. This year for the first time world celebrated Grandparents Day on 25thJuly,2021. Due to pandemic we celebrated it online. Students from KG, primary and middle section participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. They performed mesmerizing dance, sung a thank you song for their grandparents and danced with them. They also performed different activities with their grandparents.
Principal Rev.Father Sibi Joseph gave message that grandparents are good role model, always loving, caring and giving so it is the responsibility of students to honour, respect and show love and care for their elders, parents and grandparents. KG Headmistress Sister Dhanya and Academic Coordinators of all the classes took an opportunity to record their messages for grandparents. The grandparents felt overwhelmed and expressed their gratitude and love to our Principal, staff and little Aloysians.

78th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2024 St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School , Cantt , had commemorated the 78th Independence Day with its alumni and brilliant staff and students under the able guidance of the Principal Rev. Father Davis V. The programme commenced by hoisting of our Tricolour which is the beacon, heritage and hope of our bright future, followed by singing the national anthem which represents our nation's identity and character. We witnessed the patriotic song competition in which senior secondary students displayed their immense talents in music and vocals. The competition was judged by renowned judges, Mrs Saumya Tripathi Mishra and none other than our alumni Mohinoor Singh Batra. They also graced the stage with their scintillating and inspiring performances. A patriotic dance performance was also very mesmerizing and rhythmic. A speech was delivered by Mrs. Raveen Chadda, one of our teachers who through her message aroused the feeling of patriotism and love for our motherland. The programme concluded by the words of wisdom delivered by the Principal Rev. Father Davis V to the audience on this auspicious occasion. He not only gave tribute to our ancestors' sacrifices and dedication in securing freedom and also motivated them to work together for our nation's bright future emphasising on the role of youth power to raise the nation to the zenith of development and success. In a commendable display of community spirit, St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Cantt, Jabalpur, hosted a successful blood donation camp organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the school. The event, which took place, was marked by a ceremonial inauguration featuring the pinning of NSS badges to the school’s Principal, Fr. V.V. Davis, Sr. Rosemin and all key stakeholders involved in the initiative. The Rotary Blood Bank of Rani Durgavati Hospital, Jabalpur, played a pivotal role in the camp, providing essential support with their medical and paramedical team. The team was led by Dr. Tushar Gupta and included notable members such as Mrs. P. Harrison, Mr. Amit Patel, Mr. Prashant Sharma, Mr. Jitendra Raikwar, and Mr. Naresh Balmik. Under the able guidance of the Principal Rev. Fr. Davis V., the new Office-Bearers for Academic Session 2024–2025 of St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School Cantt., Sadar Jabalpur, were sworn in at a solemn ceremony on July 6, 2024, Saturday, which was held on the school premises. The list of respectable guests included the Chief Guest of the event, Col. Rakhi Dawan, HQ MB Area, Jabalpur, the Guests of Honour, MSGR Dr. Davis George, Vicar General, Catholic Diocese of Jabalpur, Fr. Thankachan Jose, Secretary, Jabalpur Diocesan Educational Society, Fr. Ben Anton, Principal, St. Aloysius College Cantt. Jabalpur, Sr. Rosemin Headmistress Kindergarten, Academic Coordinators, Parents and members of the staff along with the newly elected Students’ Council 2024-25. The Investiture Ceremony signifies the confidence and reliance school invests in its newly elected office bearers. The function began with lightening of the Lamp, opening prayer and singing of the School Hymn, Reading of verses from the Holy Scriptures by the students. This was followed by a prayer dance by the girl students of the school. Thereafter the newly elected 31 members of the students who were appointed as the school leaders and were pinned with badges by the Chief Guest Col. Rakhi Dawan along with the Principal Rev. Fr. Davis. Thereafter, the newly elected members of the student council took the Oath of duty and commitment, to uphold the school responsibilities with loyalty, truth and dignity. The Chief Guest Col. Davis V., while addressing the students congratulated them and reminded them of values like leadership and patience. They asked them to never give up and always strive for success. In a dazzling culmination of its sesquicentennial celebrations, St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School hosted a spectacular ceremony on December 18 and 19. The festivities commenced on July 10 with the inaugural ceremony, setting the stage for a series of cultural competitions and events.On the occasion of the 150th year of the school, the festivities included a plethora of exciting cultural, literary competitions and sports events spread over the year, making it one of the most festive and memorable periods in the history of the school. The highlight of the event was the recognition of winners from various schools under JDES, with awards presented on December 19.The championship award, an embodiment of overall achievement, was proudly claimed by St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Cantt. The culmination ceremony was held on 18th December with former Chief Justice (Chandigarh and Punjab) Honourable Ravi Shankar Jha as the chief guest and Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh as the guest of honour. The Chief Justice Ravi Shankar Jha expressed privilege in witnessing the remarkable journey of St. Aloysius School and the outstanding talents showcased in the festivities.The mayor wished for the next chapters of the school's esteemed journey to be marked by unwavering dedication to justice, knowledge, and the values defining true leadership. Acknowledging academic excellence, meritorious students of Class 10 and 12 received accolades. A heartfelt theme song resonated, expressing gratitude and honouring the legacy of the school. Through dance performances, students conveyed how St. Aloysius School played a pivotal role in their academic and personal development.A captivating drama titled "Chronicles of Wisdom," narrated a tale of wisdom, selflessness, forgiveness, and positive transformation. The Archbishop Girelli, and the Bishop Almeida shared inspiring words, emphasizing values of knowledge, generosity, community bonds, resilience, acknowledgment of mistakes, and self-improvement. His Excellency Most Rev. Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli in his address to the gathering said that the commitment to excellence in education displayed by St. Aloysius School is truly commendable. The occasion serves as a poignant reminder of the school's extraordinary commitment to fulfilling its mission.This milestone reflects a century and a half of commitment to education, values, and community. A moment of honour unfolded as the Archbishop, in turn, extended recognition to the esteemed former Principals, acknowledging their significant contributions to the school's legacy. Teacher's Day Celebration

St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School celebrated Teachers' Day on 5 th September with pomp and grandeur. It is the day celebrated to mark the birthday of former President, scholar and philosopher, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to honour the hard work and contribution of teachers in our life. The Principal, Rev. Father Sibi Joseph and Kindergarten headmistress Sr. Anupama, inaugurated the programme by lightning the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Mother Teresa in the school auditorium and explained the significance of Teachers' Day. The propramme was lead off with a scripture reading followed by a prayer song sung by the school choir and a hymn. The cultural programme then began which included a special song by students followed by a poem by Arinjay Jain of 8 'D’. A students also expressed his gratitude towards the teachers by giving short speech. Students performed various cultural activities like dance, song, poems, skit etc. A PowerPoint presentation showcasing the importance of a teacher in nurturing young citizens of the nation was displayed. On this special occasion, the activities of the students were appreciated by all the teachers and the students. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph thanked the children for their love and arrangement of such a wonderful programme and appreciated all the teachers for their hard work, dedication and for inculcating moral values in children. INTER SCHOOL SKIT COMPETITION

It was a proud moment for St Aloysius ,Rimjha for hosting an interschool skit competition,(Sesquicentennial year celebration of cantt.) on 26/8/23. The competition was limited to dramas in the English language on the theme - Igniting mind and entertaining the soul. Alongwith host school three more schools- St Aloysius sadar,St Aloysius polipather and St Thomas were participated in this unique competition. Judgement was really tough due to the wonderful performances put up by the participating schools. Respected judges were also mesmerized and charmed by the talented actors. It was a true tribute to the maestro by the upcoming and enthusiastic young Thespians of today. The 1st position was secured by the St Aloysius polipather,2nd position was bagged by St Aloysius sadar,cantt whereas 3rd position was secured by the St Aloysius Rimjha. Respected Manager father John Walter xalxco presented the vote of thanks. The students and teachers of SASSS,Rimjha played astellar role in the organisation and administration of this competition.
Elocution Competition

Elocution refers to one's capacity of communicating with others with the use of speech and gestures. Keeping this in mind, English elocution competition was organised on 25th August 2023 in school auditorium by English literary committee. The event not only showcased the participants' speaking power but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and intellectual engagement among all involved. This event is a proof to the power to the power of effective communication and thinking in dynamic and competitive environment. We extend our heartful gratitude to all the participants, judges and attendees, who contributed to making this event a memorable success. The day concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the school captain, who appreciated the judging panel and thanked all the students for their effective participation in the event. The participants performed exceptionally well. The competition gave a lot of encouragement and confidence to the performers and to all the students present there. On completion of the last speaker, the principal was invited on stage to speak a few words of encouragement. The young and gifted orators had won the hearts of the judges, who were overwhelmed by their oratory skills and preparation. This was followed by the announcing of the winners, amidst thunderous applauding. The confidence, expression and talent of the young ones made the event truly memorable.
Patriotic Song Competition

““Patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst of emotion but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.”” Music is beautiful because of the manner in which it is produced, transmitted, and perceived by human beings. It binds the heart and is one of the most beloved human adventures. Music develops aesthetic sense in children. It stimulates the brain, and with its varied sounds and lyrical themes, the students are exposed to a large amount of vocabulary in a short amount of time. Music also creates a foundation for the student's ability to understand and communicate. Under the able guidance of the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, the Annual Patriotic Song Competition was organized on Friday, 11 th August, 2023 in the school auditorium. Keeping the spirit of solidarity and love for the country, the participants sang beautiful compositions with great enthusiasm that left audience spellbound. The primary, middle school and the high school students participated in the competition. The event started with the performance of the primary students. It was a mesmerizing one. The young participants performed gracefully. The event was judged by Mr. Shaji Varghese, Mr. Syed Noman Hussain and Mr. Varun Benjamin. The performance by one of the judges, Mr. Varun Benjamin was an excellent addition to the event. The music was arranged by Mr. E.D Ashish playing his part on the musical keyboard. The senior competition was conducted in two sessions, first session included the performances of the High School and Senior School’s students respectively followed by the performances of the Middle School students in the second session. Mr. Mathew Clayton, Mr. Sanjay Xavier were amongst the panel of judges for the senior competition. The success of the competition could be well judged by the smile on the faces of the students and the teachers. Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph addressed the gathering. He reminded the students about the importance of synchronization being an essential part of song planning. He appreciated the efforts of the students for coming together and presenting beautiful melodies. He extended warm felicitations to all the dignitaries and the participants present on the occasion. The program began with the reading from the Holy Scriptures of all religions and a prayer dance. The office bearers took the oath, to faithfully work for the school and were pinned the badges by the honourable Chief Guest accompanied with the Principal Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph. After the solemn oath taking ceremony, the honourable Chief Guest congratulated the newly sworn in office bearers and motivated them to acquire leadership quality to build a better society. School echoed with the blessings on Saturday, 11 th February 2022 when the Aloysian family came together to bid farewell to the outgoing students of 2022-23 batch of class XII. The farewell party was organized by the students of XI class. The outgoing students entered the school premises and they were well received by their Juniors. The seniors walked-in elegantly dressed. The young ladies glowed in colouful saris whereas gentlemen carried themselves smartly in suits and looked resplendent. The event began with lighting of the lamp by Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sr. Anupama, Programme Incharge-Sir Rajesh Vishwakarma, Head-Girl Siddhi Malviya and the School Captain Nischal Vatsa. The outgoing students took the pledge of being true Aloysians administered by Sir Sharad Singh. The event was followed by performances of the 11 th class students dedicated especially to their seniors. The most awaited event of the day was the declaration of titles for Mr. & Ms. Aloysius 2022- 23, and the nominees for the titles confidently answered the questions asked. Nischal Vatsa was awarded with the title of Mr. Aloysius and Ms. Tanushree Tiwari was crowned Ms. Aloysius by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, and Sr. Anupama. The School captain Nischal Vatsa thanked the Aloysian family for making the day a celebration worth to remember. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph blessed the students with his inspiring words of wisdom and guided them to educate their hearts. He told the students back in time as Vice-Principal he saw growth in the students when they were small. He thanked the parents for trusting the School in motivating the students to stand by their own. The Principal reminded the students that it’s a great thing to come up and receive awards. He asked the students to become problem solvers as in the examination of life, they will need problem solving skills. He said that many students would go out and shine their names, and they must build up a character in order to take decisions for themselves when they are alone. He asked the students to keep gratitude for school because the school has taught them to stand firm against the barriers of life. He wished the students to keep moral values and discipline. He told the students to bloom where they are planted. The Principal and the staff awarded the office bearers of the session 2022-23 and reminded them to keep companionship. The day ended with fond memories and a delicious lunch for staff and the students.

St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Sadar organised its Annual Function for the kindergarten and Primary Section and Prize Distribution on Friday, 11th November 2022. The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm and high spirits after two years of Covid-19 pandemic. Annual Day forms an integral part of our school activities. It is an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity when students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co- curricular achievements. Col. Sanjay Chikkara, Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Rev. Fr. Abraham T. the Vicar General and Vice President of JDES presided over the function. The main theme of the function was "Education is the pathway for well being." The programme began with the presentation of the bouquets to the Chief Guest Col. Sanjay Chikkara and the Vicar General followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by our honourable Chief Guest, Vicar General, Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sister Anupama and the School Captain. The little Aloysians welcomed the gathering with their melodious and vibrant voices. Our elegant dancers presented a soulful prayer dance full of serenity. The events included various meaningful dances, skits and songs which were performed in complete harmony. The theme of the year was enacted through a dance drama " Transforming Education through Technology" enthralled the audience. A beautiful and energetic tribal dance was performed to commemorate the 67th foundation day of Madhya Pradesh.A diverse musical orchestra as fillers in between the performance left the audience spellbound. The Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph presented the Annual Report which highlighted the events of the session 2021- 22 through audio video visuals. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering, appreciated the talents of the students and gave away the mementoes and certificates to the achievers of Class XII CBSE Board Examination 2021 - 22. Ms. Rashi Agrawal was awarded the 'Best Aloysian'. Ishitva Joshi received the Lt. General Pradeep Bhalla Trophy for securing the highest percentage in the school in Class XII CBSE Board Examination 2021- 22. Rev. Fr. Abraham T. Vicar General Vice President JDES, in his address appreciated the talents, hard work and efforts of the students, teachers and also emphasized on the achievements of the school. He gave away the mementoes and certificates to the meritorious students of Class X CBSE Board Examination 2021-22 and also to the students who secured a position in Bishop's Test -2022. JSSC Short Movie Making Competition

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” On Saturday, 10 th September 2022 St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School Cantt., Jabalpur organised and hosted the grand finale of “TEENS ON REELS” a short movie making competition on behalf of the Jabalpur Sahodaya schools Complex. It was a competition that invited and encouraged the students to discover and enhance their skills as young movie makers. 18 schools participated in the competition and 8 turned out to be the qualifiers after the first round of judgement. This momentous day was graced by the presence of the JSSC Executive members, Guests and the Judges. The event opened with soulful lighting of the lamp ceremony by the Chief guest -Sr. Navya (Principal – St. Joseph Convent Sadar), Joint Secretary- Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph (Principal- St. Aloysius Senior sec School, Sadar, Mrs.Deepti Satsangi (Academic Coordinator Senior School) & Mr. Deepesh Shah later it was followed by the felicitation of the JSSC dignitaries and the Judges. The beautiful prayer dance witnessed a star of applause and appreciation by the entire gathering. Finally it was the final round of Judgement. The schools competed head to head for the Grand winner title. The schools included Ashoka Hall School, Satya Prakash Public School, Nachiketa H. S. School Vijay Nagar, St. Gabriel’s H. S. School Ranjhi, Little World School, Gyan Ganga International School, Stemfield International School, Bal Bharti Sublic School. The topic for the competition was "TEEN POWER". Each school was represented by an editing team. The team then presented their work to the judges and confidently answered the questions asked by the judges. The judges for the event were Mr. Deepesh Shah, Mr. Alok Singh Thakur and Mr. Edward Vincent. They evaluated entries on the basis of the theme, presentation, clarity, originality, sound effects, design, cinematography, direction and acting. At last the Guest of Honour - Mrs.Aparna Choubey (Chairperson JSSC and Principal, DPS Mandla Road) appreciated the students for the active participation, Sr. Navya & Mr.Deepesh Shah addressed the gathering appreciated the hard work of the participants. The day concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the school Principal, Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph who appreciated the judging panel and thanked all the schools for their active participation in the event. The event was a great success under the able guidance of the Principal Rev. Fr. Teachers are our quiet heroes working in front of children, the world’s toughest audience with patience and understanding. Today’s technology has opened the door of new learning & has also changed the course of education. But a good teacher has the power to change life, ignite it in the most perfect way. As an honour to our first President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on his birthday, St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School, Cantt. Jabalpur celebrated Teachers' Day on Monday 5 th September 2022 with great zeal & enthusiasm. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding the pictures of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan & Mother Teresa by our Principal, Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Kindergarten Headmistress Sr. Anupama. The programme was lead off with the Bible reading followed by the prayer song and hymn. The function started with a beautiful prayer dance seeking God's blessings and then group song felicitating the teachers. Soon after that, a student gave speech on why we celebrate Teachers’ day and how Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan contributed to the society. The day was made memorable by a series of cultural activities such as dancing and singing to entertain and give teachers a day to remember. A small skit was also performed by students that everyone enjoyed. After that a group of students sang many songs based on Teachers’ day. The surprise event of the day was a Qawwali performed by the senior school . The principal then gave a speech thanking and appreciating all the teachers for their hard work, dedication and for inculcating moral values in children. He also emphasized that al nation can be made correction free only with the efforts of father, mother and teachers. The programme ended with the head boy thanking the Teachers for the efforts and shaping the life of students and inspiring them. Over all it was a joyous and eventful day, enjoyed equally by teachers and students alike.

“May we always have the freedom to choose,freedom to dream and freedom to live” Under the able guidance of the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, St. Aloysius. Sr. Sec. School, Cantt. Jabalpur celebrated the Independence Day with patriotic fervor on August 15, 2022. It began with a special morning assembly by the students that portrayed the true meaning of Independence. The entire school assembled at the campus and the Tricolor was hoisted by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph. After which, the national anthem echoed in the entire campus. A very motivating speech was given by Mrs. Vinita Maheshwari which captivated the hearts of the audience. The celebration consisted of a variety of cultural programmes. The group songs presented by the students of Class-5, High School, Middle School and the Senior School filled everyone with pure patriotism. The Patriotic dance and the Formation dance performance by the students awakened everyone’s feelings towards the motherland. A student Siddhi Malviya, of Class-XII-A presented a speech. A Skit was also presented by the students that filled the atmosphere with the spirit of patriotism. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph in his enlightened speech called India a diverse nation and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters. He appreciated the assembly and explained the meaning of ‘AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV’. He said that the country should function well and everyone should work together to build a powerful and wonderful nation. He stressed on achieving integrity of character and encouraged the staff and the students to bring glory and laurels to the Nation by doing dignified deeds and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the School Captain, Nischal Vatsa. The entire event was followed by a friendly traditional football match between St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School Cantt. Jabalpur and St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Jabalpur.

To inculcate leadership qualities and essence of responsibility in the students, the newly elected students council, was invested with the duties for the academic session 2022-23 on 12th July 2022. The chief guest Mrs. Bhawana Maravi, CITY SDOP (SIHORA) was welcomed by the Principal by a bouquet and memento as a token of love and appreciation. The ceremony commenced with the lightning of lamp by the Chief-Guest Mrs. Bhawana Maravi, Principal Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph,Sr. Lincy, Principal, St. Aloysius School Gaur, Headmistress Kindergarten Sr. Anupama, Mr. M.K Jha and Mr. M.K Malviya. The program began with the reading from the Holy Scriptures and a prayer dance. The office bearers took the oath, to faithfully work for the school and were pinned the badges by the honorable Chief Guest accompanied with the Principal Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph.
After the solemn oath taking ceremony, the honorable Chief Guest congratulated the newly sworn in office bearers and motivated them to acquire leadership quality to build a better society. The Chief Guest inaugurated the skill development program “Beyond The Horizon”. The theme of the skill development program is “Skill Enhancement for Sustainable Development”.
Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph congratulated the office bearers and reminded them of the great leader Mahatma Gandhi and follow his footmarks. He told them to never give up and follow the school motto "Virtus in Arduo”.

St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School celebrated its founder’s day on 10th July 2022. The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sr. Anupama and Coordinators. Thereafter programme continued with the intercessory prayer by the students of Primary classes. Presentation of a beautiful Kathak dance left everyone spellbound. The students proudly remembered and praised the glorious past of our school by singing a beautiful Founder’s day song and expressed their gratitude towards the school.
All our founder Fathers, Bishops and Principals were remembered for their devotion, dedication, commitment and selfless service towards the institution. Rev. Father Sibi Joseph in his address laid emphasis to follow and imbibe the values of Father Amedee Delalex, our founder father in their lives. Overall the programme was a big success.
First Day Assembly

The onset of an academic year full of opportunities and the end of a refreshing summer break was marked on 23rd June, 2022. The reopening was marked by a memorable assembly to celebrate and remind us of the fact that we are fortunate to have the chance of being educated. Our Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph hoisted the school flag, followed by hymn to St. Aloysius and the prayer by the melodius Aloysian choir. Post this, the new staff was welcomed, the teachers introduced themselves. Our principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph then adressed the audience and brought in a splendid surprise for all the students, that was presentment of our school diary, something for which each student eagerly waits.
Lastly, the theme for the year was revealed, that is, 'Education is the pathway for well being.' The theme for the year has also been kept as signifying the importance of education in one's lives and highlighting how important it is for each one of us to respect the right to education of everyone. In conclusion, the reopening ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter of our lives, giving us new hopes and placing before us plethora of opportunities.

The feast of the Saint Aloysius was celebrated on 21 st June 2022. The celebration started in the morning with the flag hoisting by the Principal followed by a melodious hymn to St. Aloysius.
Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph, Head Mistress, Sr.Anupama and academic coordinators lit the candles and offered the flowers as a mark of tribute to our inspiring Saint, St.Aloysius .A beautiful prayer was also recited by the students and staff, which imbibed the holy spirit. A quote was also read by one of the staffs from the holy Bible, which highlighted universal brotherhood. Ahead ,the day was made memorable by a beautiful prayer dance and an inspiring speech by a staff. The programme ended with enlightening words spoken by Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph reminiscing the glorious past of St.Aloysius.
FAREWELL OF CLASS XII

The auditorium of St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School echoed with the blessings on 31 st March 2022 when the Aloysian family came together to bid farewell to the outgoing students of 2021-22 batch of class XII. It was the day of mixed emotions for all present at the school auditorium to witness the official send-off for the class XII students at the Farewell ceremony. The day was devoted to the years and moments spent together with friends and teachers.
The outgoing students entered the school premises elegantly dressed. The young ladies glowed in colourful sarees whereas the gentlemen carried themselves smartly in suits and looked resplendent. The Management, Staff and the Students organized the Event-‘COLOURS 2021-22’. The event began with lighting of the lamp by Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sr. Dhanya, Academic Coordinator Mrs. Deepti Satsangi, Head-Girl Prefect Rashi Agrawal and the School Captain Sahil Pandey. The outgoing students took the pledge of being true Aloysians administered by Sir Sharad Singh. The event was followed by various captivating performances by the senior class students which also included the theme skit and dance celebrating colours of School life.
The most awaited event of the day was the declaration of titles for Mr. & Ms. Aloysius 2021-22, and the nominees for the titles confidently answered the questions asked. Rudr Shankar Shukla was awarded with the title of Mr. Aloysius and Arya Sharad Shrivastava was crowned Ms. Aloysius by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, and Sr. Dhanya. The School Captain Sahil Pandey thanked the Aloysian family for making the day a celebration worth to remember. It was followed by the felicitation of students by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph for their outstanding performance in Academics and Co-curricular Activities. The Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph blessed the students with his inspiring words of wisdom and guided them to be good citizens of India and also educate their hearts. He reminded them of their first day in School and portrayed the School as a facilitator of values. He advised them to accept difficulties, believe in themselves and use life skills efficiently. He told the students to leave behind all the negative experiences and carry pleasant memories with them. He asked the students to remember God and that God makes the destiny of man. He also advised the students to think twice before sharing personal information on the social network and wished their dreams to come true. He also presented mementos to the outgoing students and assured them that they will always remain in the hearts of every member of the Aloysian family and wished them successful life. The students took back with them wonderful memories of the day.

Welcoming the tiny tots is always full of emotions, especially after the pandemic . The teachers were delighted and have planned and prepared well for welcoming the new students.
The little angels were excited and ready to start a new school year .On this overwhelming day the tiny tots had the mixed feelings of excitement, joy and confusion . The Kindergarten building was decorated beautifully with balloons , banners and posters.
Virtual science and craft contest

Curiosity is the basic quality of human beings which creates inquisitiveness, when anybody tries to know anything logically. Scientific aptitude is developed while making science models, this creates interest in the minds of young students. They feel involved and ultimately find their connection with science.
Crafts is an expression of the creativity of humans in many directions. To keep the spirit of competition alive amongst the students during this pandemic, St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School organised a virtual science and craft competition for classes I to IX and XI. The closing ceremony of the 'IDEATHON' Science & Craft Contest took place on 5th February 2022. Rt. Rev.Bishop Gerald Almeida presided over the programme. It was largely pre-recorded with some live segments and performers adhered to social distancing measures during the live portions.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by our honourable Chief Guest Rt. Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, Sister Dhanya,Academic Coordinators ma'am Deepti Satsangi and ma'am School Captain The oath was taken for the conservation of the trees by planting them. The students performed a beautiful dance on the theme Nature's cry. The main attraction of the programme was the Robo dance with the introduction of the mascot 'Ecobot'. There was an event display on the topic 'Environment and Nature's Cry' and an inspirational video by the Aloysians.
The main theme of the virtual contest was "Designing a Sustainable Future with Creativity". There were sub-themes under the main theme: Passionate Learners the group activity, Genius Minds the individual activity, Environmentalist the role-play of great environmentalist and Crafterina the individual craft activity. The highlights of the online exhibition were expressed by a presentation of craft materials, and models displayed by the students in the school's annual science & craft contest. The annual school magazine was released under the leadership of the Principal.
The programme ended, with a vote of thanks by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, mentioning the models and their innovators and admiring their performances. The chief guest appreciated the hard work and the innovative ideas of the students.
Republic Day Celebration

Amidst the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and the guidelines with it St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School, Cantt. celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with a limited gathering in all its solemnity and grandeur. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, our Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph unfurled the tricolour followed by the National Anthem. A very short programme was organised by the teachers to honour the day. A prayer service was performed for the nation. The patriotic song by the teachers and the speech delivered by ma'am Jaya Ghosh filled the atmosphere with the spirit of Patriotism. A message of unity in diversity and words of encouragement was given by the Principal. He also added 'this crisis has put forth new opportunities, possibilities in front of us and we should utilise the opportunities to minimise our weaknesses and come out stronger.'
The school has ensured that the fervour of Patriotism lives on, and shifted the Republic Day celebrations online. There were wonderful virtual performances of dance, song, skit and speech. The synchronised display by the students being in different homes was noteworthy.

Christmas Celebration

"Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart".
Christmas is that time of the year which we all eagerly wait for. The celebration begins weeks ahead with the decoration of the Christmas tree and gifts for loved ones. This the season to be safe and calm and kind.
The essence of Christmas came alive at St.Aloysius Sr.Sec.School Cantt., when the staff and students got together to share the merriment. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, under the able guidance of the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph, the Kindergarten, Primary and the Middle school students celebrated the festival on 22ndDecember 2021 in the school premises with gaiety.
The celebration started with the Lighting ofLamp, followed by reading from the Holy Bible and the prayer to Almighty. A wonderful skit was presented on the Nativity scene beautifully depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. An Action song was sung by the Kindergarten children followed by melodious carols presented by the students and the Aloysian choir group. The arrival of Santa added to the joy of the festivity.
On this auspicious occasion the Principal Rev. Fr.Sibi Joseph shared a message thanking God for sending his Son and asking everyone to put their trust in God and believe.He also extended his greetings and concluded the programme wishing all a very merry Christmas and prosperity for the New Year.

75th Independence Day "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav"
Independence Day mark the historic occasion when the country finally broke the shackles of oppression and gained independence from the British empire in the year 1947.For this independent nation our freedom fighters went through unimaginable pain and sacrifices. Today we stand together and salute their sacrifices and celebrate this day with utmost fervor, zest and a sprit of patriotism to make the innumerable sacrifices of the freedom fighters of India and honour the fact that we are living in a free India. Every year the celebration for Independence Day is honored with great fervor and enthusiasm in the school campus but 15th August 2021 due to the pandemic situation Principal and the staff organized online and offline program with a facility of live telecast of the GRAND FLAG HOISTING CEREMONY via facebook live for the students and their parents.
- Event started at 8.00am with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph. After which, the national Anthem was sung with great Zeal and a spirit of patriotism. A bunch of colorful balloons were released in the air by the Principal that symbolized freedom of expression, goodness of thoughts, love for mankind and care for others.
- Then after, Principal addressed the students and parents those joined facebook live, wished and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters. He also stressed on achieving integrity of character and encouraged the students to bring glory and laurels to the nation by their good deeds.
- After the grand Flag Hoisting ceremony a cultural program was organized by the office bearers and the teachers. Program started with Holy Scripture readings. Mrs. Priya Kapadiya – the holy Bible, Mrs. Palak Khatri – the Bhagwat Gita, Mrs. Naseem Begum –the Holy Quaran and Mrs. Raveen Chadha- the Guru Granth Sahib followed by a special prayer for the nation by Mrs. Sapna Benjamin. Aloysian teachers choir took the audiences to another level of patriotism by their melodious songs.
- A motivating speech was delivered by Mrs. Ekta Pandey that appealed the audience to be responsible citizens of the country. To keep the momentum high, Vedant Sharma of XII A delivered an inspirational speech. A Quiz on national leaders was organized to bring a moment to relive the past. Music brings togetherness so a musical treat was presented by Mr. Varun Benjamin, Mr. E.D Ashish and Mr. Shaiji Vargese.
- The Principal addressed the gathering and motivated everyone to be responsible and work towards the development of the nation. Program ended with vote of thanks by the school captain Sahil Pandey. The celebration was a grand success under the able guidance of the Principal and in coordination with all the staff members and students who made this a memorable day.
INTRA SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION

To enhance the intellectual skill and thinking of students of our school a quiz competition was organised under the kind guidance of our Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph. The aim of the competition was to bring the latent quality of understanding and development of their knowledge in the subjects i.e. .Science, Social Science and Computer.
The quiz was held in two rounds. The first round was held online on 10th September 2021 in which all the students of classes 6th, 7th and 8th Standard participated. 40 students from each class were selected to take part in final round.
Final round was held offline on 10th November 2021 in the school premises and following students were declared as winners from each class and were awarded with the certificates.

Spell Bee Competition

"Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes us great".
Students learn to spell not just because it improves their literacy level but because it helps them to develop their brain, confidence, knowledge and vocabulary. Keeping this in mind we have conducted the Spell Bee Competition for the students of classes I to VIII. It was conducted in two levels. The first level was online, organized on 23rdAugust,2021. Three students from each section were selected to compete in the final round which was on 27thNovember,2021 in the school. It was judged by our English teachers.
The competition was successfully conducted under the able guidance and supervision of our Principal Rev.Father Sibi Joseph. The winners were awarded with the certificate.

International Yoga Day

"Yoga is the ultimate practice. It simultaneously stimulates our inner light and quiets our overactive minds. It is both energy and rest. Yin and Yang. We feel the burn and find our bliss."
The International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2021 to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that originated in India and is helping people in leading a healthier lifestyle worldwide. This year carries the theme "Yoga for well being" which is truly relevant as the society is still recovering from the impact of the COVID pandemic.
A yoga display containing various asanas such as Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasan, Pranayama etc. was performed by the primary students on the occasion of International Yoga Day showcasing the value of yoga as it strengthens the immune system and cleans blood, body parts, body systems internally. It brings a divine glow on the face and makes us wise. To begin with the program, our sports teacher Sir Sunil performed Surya Namaskar which strengthens different muscles of our body and also helps in curing diseases.
Our school Principal Rev. Father Sibi Joseph also participated in the programme enthusiastically and performed Padmasana, Bhramari Pranayama, Anulom Vilom etc. and gave message that yoga not only has a capacity to change perception but also has power to transform us.
