INTER SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION
“Questions are the engines of intellect, the cerebral machines which convert energy to motion and curosity to controlled inquiry.”
St Aloysius Senior Secondary school is considered to be the quintessence of learning and has a legacy of nurturing the inquisitive minds. Under its sesquicentennial celebration of successful completion of 150th year of recognition of the School, a variety of programmes are planeed for the year. Under the series of these events, a Quiz Competition was organized on 31st July 2023.
Quizzes are intended to encourage fun learning methods while also enhancing general knowledge. Students can think "outside the box" or from diverse perspectives by participating in quiz tournaments. It encourages constructive dialogue among participants so they can benefit from one another.
The aim of the competition was to give emphasis on the improvement of the intellect and general knowledge of the students. The event was held in the school auditorium and was graced with the presence of the Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph who welcomed the participants and conveyed his best wishes for the event. The competition began with the introduction of the Quizmaster and contestants from each school. The participants were from the classes 6th, 7th and 8th.
Six schools participated in the event with two from each school. The rules of the competition were announced. It took place in three rounds. First round comprised of four questions. Second round was a rapid fire round which lifted the level of interest of not only the participants but also the audience. Third round was a Buzzer round. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing, captivating, exciting and made the audience to applaud the answers. The participant answered the tricky questions with confidence. The teams participated with great enthusiasm displaying ecstatic spirit.
Our Principal Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph announced the result and congratulated the students. He wished them a bright future. The competition was tough but in the end the thrilling battle was won by St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School Cantt. Second position was secured by St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School.Rimjha and the Third position was secured by St Aloysius Senior Secondary School. Polipathar. The programme culminated with the Vote of Thanks.
The program was a great success under the able guidance of the Principal, Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph.
