Teacher’s Day Celebration

To honour the birth anniversary of the former President, scholar, teacher and promoter of education of India Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a variety of programmes were organised by the staff and students of our school to celebrate Teacher’s Day. The day began by the welcoming of the teachers by the school office bearers who presented miniature flowers to the staff. The Programme began in the school auditorium by paying floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Mother Teresa. There was a reading from the Holy Scriptures by the students followed by intercessory prayers and a Hymn. An array of performances like group dances, a solo presentation, a speech by a student and a teacher, a skit, an instrumental and power point presentation filled the ambience in a spirit of celebration and joy.

The Principal Fr. Sibi Joseph congratulated and thanked the office bearers for organizing a wonderful programme. In his speech he told the students that every day was teacher’s day as they should obey and respect their teachers daily. He motivated the teachers by encouraging them to follow the values of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Mother Teresa thereby contributing in the process of nation building.

The vote of thanks was given by the School Captain Mohinoor Singh Batra.
