BLESSING AND THE INAUGURATION OF NEW SCHOOL BUILDING

“It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings”

                           July 17, 2021 was indeed an auspicious day for all, at St. Aloysius School Gaur, Jabalpur. The new school edifice has added a new distinctive hallmark to the Aloysian family which is a bedrock of education and faith. The inaugural ceremony started with the welcoming of the Chief Guest Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Bishop of Jabalpur and President of Jabalpur Diocesan Educational Society and other dignitaries. Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida and Rev. Fr. Abraham T. the Vicar General were welcomed by the school Manager, Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph and the Principal Sr. Deepa with saplings. The staff Secretary Ms. Medlin Ekka applied Tilak on the forehead of Bishop as a symbol of welcome.

 “Give light and people will find the way”

                      Then the traditional auspicious lamp lighting ceremony was held. The lamp was lit by the Chief Guest Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida(Bishop of Jabalpur and President of Jabalpur Diocesan Educational Society), Rev Fr. Sibi Joseph( Manager of St. Aloysius School, Gaur) Fr. Abraham T.(Vicar General), Fr. Davis George ( Director, SAIT) and Fr. Thomas Kunnel (Dean – Jabalpur Deanery). Most Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida unveiled the plaque and inaugurated the new building by cutting the ribbon. After this the Bishop and all the dignitaries were led to the school hall, where a special prayer dance was performed by Disha Chhatri. It was a time to thank God for being with the school management throughout the construction of the building and the prayer was led by the Bishop. The Bishop blessed the interior of the building, with the melodious prayer song by the choir (teachers).

 The ceremony was followed by an audio visual presentation of the school activities which were conducted offline and online. As the ceremony came to an end, the architect Mr. Avneesh Nema and the contractor Mr. Kathariya were felicitated by the Bishop.

 “Thank-you is the best prayer that anyone could say” Thus, the ceremony was concluded by a vote of thanks, given by the Manager Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph. To represent life and growth the symbolic tree plantation ceremony was done by Most Rev Bishop Gerald Almeida, to mark the occasion. The inaugural ceremony was a moment of pride and celebration for the Aloysian family as it symbolizes a new beginning.
