Christmas CelebrationChristmas season is referred to as the most wonderful time of the year. The carols, prayer service, songs, dance, competitions have always been the highpoint of Christmas celebrations at St. Aloysius School Gaur Jabalpur. But this year was not a normal year due to ongoing pandemic. It has restricted us to have a physical gathering. Therefore, this year our students celebrated the Christmas day virtually. From dance preparations to plays, a plethora of activities was live recorded few days before Christmas. The Christmas was celebrated online on 24 th December 2020. Our students presented a great show. The teachings of Jesus Christ, nativity scene along with a carol song were narrated during the on-line event. All the events- the play, Christmas carols and dances were appreciated by all. The significance of Christmas was highlighted by our manager Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph telling that- Christmas is giving hope to each one of us. The birth of Jesus Christ has come to give us peace and this is what we need in our daily life. He invites us to take up this call of living together and having that cordial relationship with one another. To encourage the feeling of caring and sharing, students were shown a video to make them understand about the true meaning of Christmas is when we celebrate it by giving the light of love and by helping the one who is in need. To mark the occasion of Christmas and New year, various virtual competitions like Drawing, Christmas wreath making, candle decorating and singing were organized for all the students on 16 th December 2020.
