With blessings of almighty God and under the guidance of our Principal, Sister Deepa, St. Aloysius School, Gaur, Jabalpur organized a ‘VIRTUAL SPEECH COMPETITION’ for students of classes II-V on 13/07/2021 and 14/07/2021. Students actively participated in the competition with great zeal and interest. The competition was conducted to encourage students to showcase their literary skills in a way to enhance their speaking abilities.

 Following were the topics given to students to speak upon- Class II & III- i. My Best Birthday ii. Smartest Cartoon character Class IV & V- i. Online Class Etiquettes ii. Value of Education The motive behind the activity was to gather students’ thoughts on the above mentioned topics by judging them on the following parameters- content, confidence, language and pronunciation. Report of Extempore Competition Extempore is the art of public speaking that is carried out without preparation of for-thought. St. Aloysius School Gaur, Jabalpur always thrives to cater to the orators; all-round development of its students. The main focus of the school has always been on improving the soft skills among the students. With this intention in mind we conducted the extempore competition for classes VI to VIII, on 13th and 14th.The objects of the competition was to make the students confident and better The Topics were:- • My best invention • Is there value in Home work • Best indoor winter activities. • Learning in the wake of Covid • Significance of Hand writing • How to tackle a bad habit • Generation Gap • A new rule I will make and follow The participants delivered their speeches with great confidence. They were asked to present their views in the time slot of two minutes. The competition concluded successfully with great words of encouragement and appreciation from the judges
