Feast of St.AloysiusFeast of Saint Aloysius 21/06/2021 St. Aloysius Gonzaga was born on 9th March, 1568, Republic of Venice, Rome. St. Aloysius was noted for his asceticism and quickly volunteered to care for the sick and dying at a Jesuit hospital when plague broke out in Rome. He was named as the Patron of Youth and students. Every year on 21st June, we celebrate the Feast of St. Aloysius with triumph and elation. But during this pandemic time, the day was celebration through a special video presentation. The video started with our school Manager Rev. Father Sibi Joseph paying Homage to St. Aloysius. The Father Sibi gave a message to all the Aloysians to adapt the qualities that St. Aloysius had, to become a better person in life. ‘ A day without prayer is a day without blessing’. To complete the program, Bible reading was done by little Aloysians. All the Aloysians joined to sing the Hymn to St. Aloysius as a symbol to pride and unity. The life of St. Aloysius is an inspiration for all the young people and students. A glimpse of his life was shared with everyone in form of a speech given by a student. In the end, a special prayer to St. Aloysius, regarding the school affiliation and opening of the new school building was done. The program was ended with the hope that next year the Feast will be celebrated in the new school building.
